Americans from across the country believe in the American Dream and share what freedom and family mean to them
CHICAGO – Tonight, in a new video airing during night three of the 2024 Democratic National Convention, Americans share what “freedom” and “family” mean to them. Hailing from all walks of life, from traditional, blended, and LGBTQ+ families, and from all ages and backgrounds, the participants are united by their belief in freedom, democracy, and the American Dream. To them, “freedom” means being able to make their own healthcare decisions, start a family when and if they want to, practice their own religion, and not just get by, but get ahead. In Vice President Harris and Governor Tim Walz’s vision for the future of America, every American has the freedom to make these decisions for themselves.
This video highlights the split screen in this election. Vice President Harris and Governor Walz are fighting to protect American freedoms – for women to make their own reproductive health care decisions, for workers to join a union, for seniors to retire with dignity – while Donald Trump and JD Vance will only protect freedoms for the ultra-wealthy, on the backs of everyone else.
