ICYMI: Allied Groups from Across the Country Tour United Center for Preview of Democratic National Convention

CHICAGO – On Wednesday, the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) welcomed leaders from more than 100 advocacy groups to Chicago for a preview of the convention. Representatives from allied groups fighting for women’s freedom, LGBTQ+ rights, gun safety, climate action, and more previewed the United Center, the site of the 2024 Democratic National Convention’s official proceedings and programming.

“We want you to have a really, really good experience with this convention, because we know that when you leave the convention, you have to do the hard work,” said Minyon Moore, Democratic National Convention Chair. “This is the most important election of our lifetime. I will guarantee you this is the most important election of our lifetime. It might not be for you, but it is for your children and it is for your grandchildren. When we’re talking about freedoms, when we’re talking about abortion rights, when we’re talking about LGBTQ rights, when we’re talking about all the rights and freedoms that we take for granted, they are all at stake.”

After touring the United Center, allied groups gathered at McCormick Place to meet with DNCC, Host Committee, Biden for President, and Democratic National Committee staff and connect with local vendors.
