Below are resources for broadcast networks to help plan their coverage for the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. If you have any questions, you can contact medialogistics@demconvention.com.
A broad overview of upcoming dates relevant to networks, and subject to change. Major updates will be communicated through the Network Pool.
Mid-February: Network logistical briefing, collect initial media requests for media space, parking, credentials. Peter Velz, pvelz@demconvention.com, will follow up with POC on all requests.
February 29: Deadline to request a room block through DNC-contracted hotels. More information is available here.
Mid-March: Speaker elevation and location; Cadillac size, including height and width; floor platform locations and sizing; standup locations / sightlines determined.
End of March: Media provided latest information and a pricing range for media spaces to finalize the media suite selection process.
End of March: Room blocks assigned to media who requested.
Early April: User agreements between vendors and media sent.
Mid-April: Deadline to request credentials.
May 22: Spring Media Walkthrough with network meeting.
Early August: Media spaces available to begin setup.
Weekend Before Convention: Media spaces open for broadcast/reporting and the Media Welcome Party; Perimeter credentials available for pick up.
August 19-22: 2024 Democratic National Convention.
August 23: Final broadcasts/reporting inside the United Center.
August 26: Media move out deadline.

The Chicago Host Committee and the Democratic National Convention Committee rolled out their Vendor Directory and Venue Map. The Convention and Host Committee teams have worked diligently to put together a directory of diverse venues and vendors that media organizations and visitors can utilize while in Chicago this August. The Vendor Directory and Venue Map include more than 1,700 businesses, individuals, and venues – of which more than 70% identified as diverse.
