CHICAGO – The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) will host a media walkthrough on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the United Center in Chicago, the site of the 2024 Democratic National Convention’s programming and proceedings. Hundreds of journalists from news organizations around the country will receive technical and logistical briefings to inform their coverage of the convention. The walkthrough marks another major planning milestone as Democrats gear up for this summer’s convention where they will formally nominate President Biden and Vice President Harris and tell their story to the American people.

*** All interested attendees must register for the walkthrough HERE. The registration deadline is Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 5 p.m. CT. ***

Check-in and a continental breakfast will be available at the United Center beginning at 8 a.m. The program will begin at approximately 9 a.m. and end at approximately 12 p.m. followed by a complimentary lunch.

This will be the second and final logistical walkthrough for media organizations ahead of the convention and will serve as an opportunity to receive detailed information about the logistics for coverage at the 2024 Democratic National Convention, which will be held from August 19-22, 2024 in Chicago.

Representatives from various vendors will be on site to provide cost information, answer questions, and take orders for convention week services.

Parking will be available at the United Center. Details will be provided to registered attendees. The United Center is located at 1901 West Madison Street in the heart of the Near West Side neighborhood of Chicago.

On Tuesday evening, the Chicago 2024 Host Committee will host a welcome reception for members of the media. Details of the reception will be shared with confirmed attendees closer to the walkthrough.

Attendance at the walkthrough is not required for media organizations seeking credentials for the Convention.
