See You Soon?: Blogging at the Convention

Posted by Aaron on March 31, 2008 | 3 Comments

We're hosting a conference call for bloggers on Tuesday to talk logistics.  We'll answer your questions about the credentialing process and we'll give you a more clear picture of what to expect in August.  We're eager to see more bloggers apply for spots in the Press Gallery - but the April 15th application deadline is approaching.  Bloggers will be credentialed as part of a State Blogger Corps or as part of the General DemConvention Blogger Pool.  (Believe it or not, there are still a few states and territories without Blogger Corps applicants - see the map below and urge your friends to apply for credentials.)

If you're interested in blogging from Denver, I hope you can join us for Tuesday's call.

CONFERENCE CALL DETAILS:
Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 3:30pm ET / 1:30pm MT
RSVP soon with your name, the name of your blog, and URLs to OnlineTeam@DemConvention.com
We'll e-mail you the call-in number prior to the scheduled call.

  • I'm going to have to agree with MSNBC. We all know California, New York, New Jersey, etc will vote Democrat. We don't care if Obama is unpopular in the "swing states" like Penn, Michigan, Ohio, Florida, New Mexico, Nevada. What really mikes Obama the best candidate is his ability to win Kansas, Idaho, Montana, etc. where the democrats cane ignore a 20% to 80% republican advantage, with Obama we can get it down to 40, 60%, and give up Ohio, Florida, New Mexico, etc.We won't put forward the stronger candidate in the states that matter, but it will be another moral victory, and thats all that matters.

  • I'm thinking about signing up as a delegate from Oregon, but would want to save money by driving my little RV to Denver and avoid hotel costs. Are there plans to accomodate delegates wanting to stay in RV's?

  • With both candidates so close in delegate count, I hope we go all the way to Denver before deciding the nominee. It does not hurt our chances to defeat the McCain. Bush hurt their party so much, we could run just about anybody out there and win. So please, stop calling for Clinton to quit. That is just not fair.
